On Thursday 3 December 2015, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, the Hotel Lucrezia Borgia will host an in-depth meeting entitled “What is work-related stress, how is it assessed and what are the medical-legal protections”.

The meeting is open to all members/supporters and RLS Cisl of Ferrara.

They will intervene, ccoordinated by Giuseppe Tagliavia Secretary of the CISL Ferrara postal federation, Cinzia Fraschieri National Cisl manager for health and safety at work and member of the permanent advisory commission at the Ministry of Labor, Cristina Biancardi from Ferrara, an occupational psychologist, and Valerio Parmeggiani Director of the Prevention and Safety Unit for Workplace Environments – AUSL Ferrara.

As the Secretary General of Cisl Ferrara Paolo Baiamonte explains, "to better understand the relevance and the importance of the topic discussed, it is enough to think that According to surveys conducted at a European level, between 50% and 60% of working days lost in a year are related to work-related stress, which now represents the second risk factor for safety and health at work”.

“Like many other mental health issues,” Baiamonte continues, “stress is often misunderstood or stigmatized, but if you think of it as a business problem rather than an individual fault, psychosocial risks and stress can be as manageable as any other health and safety risk in the workplace.”

For these reasons,” he concludes, “we thought of holding an in-depth meeting on this topic, also addressing the prospects for medical-legal protection.”
