The CILS certification is an officially recognized qualification that attests to the level of linguistic and communicative competence in Italian as a second language.
The CILS can be used for job placement, teaching Italian, enrolling in Italian universities, and for any other application requiring a specific, formally certified level of proficiency in our language.
The Ministry of University and Research recognizes the CILS as a certificate for the admission of non-EU foreign students to Italian universities: possession of the CILS Due – B2 level exempts non-EU students from the Italian language test.
The University of Ferrara's Language Center (CLA) hosts the CILS certification exam.
