The CISL Women's Coordination and FNP CISL Women's Coordination, they decided to promote an initiative.

Beyond the impact statements, but which risk remaining limited to the rooms or days close to November 25th, we wanted to promote a fundraiser for the Women's Justice Center in Ferrara. This is a center that has been welcoming and providing assistance to victims of violence for years: domestic, workplace, exploitation, etc.

A long-standing collaboration with the Center has enabled us to leverage their unique strengths, and ours, to benefit those struggling to escape violence.

We have therefore set up small "treasure boxes" distributed throughout all CISL and FNP offices and locations in the Province to collect donations, both large and small. The collection will continue for several months, and we ask all of you to participate in the project, both by making concrete contributions and by promoting it among all our members and users of our services.

We have chosen to use, in the flyers and bookmarks that will be available near the treasure chests, an image that emphasizes color, the richness of diversity and the value of acting "together", and a text that highlights the Future.

We ask all those who frequent our offices in various capacities to contribute to supporting this important organization.

November 25th marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: an event that, unfortunately, is never merely symbolic. By 2025, more than 50 women have already been killed in Italy. A frightening number, but one that only tells a part of the story. the general secretary of the CISL, Daniela Fumarola in view of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, established by the United Nations General Assembly through resolution number 54/134 of 17 December 1999.

Alongside femicides, there are thousands of cases of psychological and economic violence, stalking, and workplace harassment: often silent forms of abuse, difficult to recognize even for those who suffer them. This requires a concerted effort—institutions, unions, associations, and citizens—that goes beyond a single incident. Prevention, protection, and education are needed. Above all, we need to change the culture that still, too often, justifies or minimizes it.

As CISL, we are doing our part, with conviction and continuity: we are present at institutional discussions starting with the new National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based and Domestic Violence 2025-2027, we are bringing the fight against all forms of violence and discrimination into the workplace, in full compliance with ILO Convention 190/2019, we are strengthening our network of counseling centers and services so that no woman feels alone when she asks for help, we are promoting training for delegates, male and female, and female workers, because knowing how to recognize the signs of violence is the first step to stopping it.

Throughout the country, in recent weeks, our organizations have been organizing awareness-raising initiatives, meetings, and reflection sessions. These are concrete examples of our role as a "local union": close to people, inside and outside the workplace," concludes the CISL General Secretary.

The recent increases in parking fees in our city are a huge blow to workers, men and women, and citizens who must access the historic center daily for work, healthcare, administrative needs, or simply to support local businesses.
The increases, which in some cases well exceed double digits, are completely out of line with current inflation rates and therefore appear completely unjustified. This is especially true considering that the public company responsible for parking management has a solid financial position, with accounts in order and no real urgency justifying such a financial burden for users.
These indiscriminate increases not only weigh on the pockets of residents already strained by the high cost of living, but also risk seriously compromising accessibility to the city center, harming workers and the local commercial fabric, at a time when attendance and livability in urban spaces should be encouraged.
We urge the municipal administration and the responsible company to concretely and transparently review the decision that led to these price increases and to initiate a genuine dialogue with representatives of citizens, businesses, and the labor market.
In a difficult economic climate, we cannot think of raising money by hitting those who work, those who live, and those who keep the city alive.
