Milena Grassi, president of Adiconsum Ferrara: In recent days, there has been a flurry of comments regarding the Carife bailout, which has wiped out the savings of countless savers.
We know that many of them, in good faith, have accepted self-interested "advice" to purchase shares and subordinated bonds, the value of which has been reduced to zero, unfairly penalising those who have invested their life savings.
ADICONSUM Nazionale, represented by President Pietro Giordano, has formally requested a meeting with the Bank of Italy and Consob, requesting Nicastro's participation to find conciliatory solutions, as previously done for BPM Banca's convertible bonds, for the weakest investors.
At the moment, ADICONSUM Ferrara is not ruling out any type of initiative, not even to hold the "former" Carife management accountable for their actions.
The situation is extremely delicate and we must not create false illusions, which is why ADICONSUM Ferrara is carefully evaluating the actions to take against those who could and should have controlled what was happening.
As soon as the situation becomes clearer, ADICONSUM Ferrara will contact members and supporters to explain its positions and illustrate appropriate solutions to savers.
For further information, savers are invited to call 0532/777616.
Adiconsum has its headquarters in Ferrara at C.so Piave 70.
