On Wednesday, May 31, a strike called by CGIL Filcams, CISL Fisascat, and Uitltucs took place, involving structured cleaning/integrated services, collective catering, public establishments, and travel agencies.
"The workers have demonstrated their awareness of the need to form a united front to shake up the collective bargaining agreement," explains Luca Benfenati, Secretary General of Fisascat Cisl in Ferrara, "and this was demonstrated by the massive turnout for the strike that involved the 80% cleaning workers and the 60% canteen workers in the area."
The workers then took center stage, from 9:00 to 12:00, at the picket line at Entrance 2 of the Cona hospital, to give substance and voice to their demands.
