FIT CISL has started the collection of signatures for the presentation of the popular initiative bill for the “Contrast to the undue enrichment of companies subsidized with public contributions in the event of strikes through amendments to Law 12 June 1990 n. 146”.
This is a proposal (attached to this), promoted by FIT CISL, and we underline ONLY by FIT CISL, which has the objective of eliminating the economic advantage that companies, subsidized with public money, obtain following the implementation of national strikes.
In fact, on these occasions, companies make deductions from salaries, do not pay for fuel for the vehicles and at the same time collect the sums deriving from the sale of season tickets and, above all, in many cases, still receive public funding.
In fact, those who pay the consequences of the strikes are the workers and citizens who do not have, in our case, the transport service.
We therefore ask that during strikes, companies pay the corresponding public contribution for that day into the solidarity fund of the category, return to subscribers the value of the unused service and we also propose to allow users to travel for free in the guaranteed time slots.
Last July 29, as required by law and following the decision of the Executive Committee of the FIT, the proposed popular initiative law was already filed with the registry of the Court of Cassation, which must then be supported by at least 50,000 certified signatures.
