The Equitalia bill scrapping project, as defined by the 2017 Stability Law, provides for a facilitated payment plan in a maximum of five installments through which the taxpayers involved can be exempted from paying fines and late payment interest, also for traffic fines, for debts contracted from 2000 to 2016 and still outstanding with Equitalia.
In essence, by requesting the scrapping of Equitalia bills, you will only pay the amount of the original debt, enjoying exemption with regards to the interests accrued in the meantime.
To start this procedure, you must send a specific application no later than March 31, 2017.
Consumers will be able to contact the Adiconsum offices, by appointment, to obtain information on how and whether it is worth proceeding with the “scrapping”.
