On 1 October 2014, the Unified Construction Fund of Ferrara was born from the unification of the 3 Construction Funds of the Ferrara area (Craftsmen's Construction Fund of Ferrara, Construction Fund of Cooperative Workers, Construction Fund of Ferrara Industry).
This unification is the result of a long negotiation opened several years ago between the trade unions Fillea-CGIL, Filca-CISL, Feneal-UIL, and the employers' associations ANCE, CNA, CONFARTIGIANATO, AGCI, CONFCOPERATIVE, LEGACOOP, which represent the construction sector in the province of Ferrara.
“This is an operation that cannot be taken for granted, of high political and trade union value, states Corrado Pola, general secretary of Filca of Ferrara, which highlights the will of the parties to face with determination, and with a single voice, the serious crisis in the construction sector”.
It is a choice that allows us to face with more compliant tools the new challenges that will have to be faced by increasing the resources allocated to benefits in support of workers, to reducing the costs that companies have to bear, effectively increasing their competitiveness, which will result in the stabilization of employment relationships and the ability to make new hires.
The Cassa Edile Unica and the future establishment of an Observatory will allow for a strengthening of the control of the territory, in the fight against undeclared work, and the incorrect application of the National and Provincial construction contract.
Filca-Cisl of Ferrara expresses great satisfaction for the success of the unification that has taken place.
Best regards
Corrado Pola
