“Neutrality favors the oppressor, never the victim; silence helps the executioner, never the tortured.”

Elie Wiesel

The CISL union in Ferrara has decided to wear a pair of red shoes every day, to reiterate its condemnation of all forms of violence against women, particularly femicide, and its daily commitment to combating it.

A display case to show everyone the red shoes, a now universal symbol, a torch to light the hope that change is possible.

A change that comes through everyone's awareness and commitment, for a more just society that respects the life and value of each individual.
