FAI is the Cisl category that represents and protects  workers in the agricultural sector (agricultural workers and employees, horticulturalists and forestry workers, agricultural cooperatives, employees of land reclamation consortia and breeders' associations, the tobacco sector, agricultural consortia, contractors and workers employed by territorial offices responsible for biodiversity, i.e. cleaning and maintenance work within wooded areas. It also represents employees in the food industry (bakery, pastry making, etc.), workers in industrial food processing cooperatives and finally fishery workers.
