On October 13, 2017, a meeting was held with the Cerioni Euronics Group and Unieuro SpA to finalize the solidarity agreement signed with Cerioni and conduct the joint review for the transfer of the business unit pursuant to Article 47 of Law 428/90.

Cerioni will then sell 19 stores to Unieuro and will then be placed into liquidation.

The administrative headquarters, the Marzocca store, and the logistics operations will not be included in the business unit transfer, as they are excluded from the transferee's control.

Regarding the 7 Marzocca employees, the 20 at the headquarters, and the 8 in logistics, who are not affected by the transfer of business units, Cerioni announced the upcoming launch of a redundancy procedure in the province of Ancona.

In the joint review agreement, the trade unions agreed on a clause that gives Marzocca employees priority for any hiring made by Unieuro at its local stores, and that Unieuro itself is willing to interview other employees at the headquarters and logistics departments.

Regarding the 19 stores sold, which include, among others, the Euronics stores in Cento (CC Il Guercino) and Comacchio (CC Le Valli) in the Ferrara area:

  • A promotional activity for the disposal of the goods will be carried out beforehand
  • Cerioni will request the termination of the solidarity contract applied from 17 May 2017, restoring normal working hours starting from 15 October 2017.
  • The transfer of workers employed by Unieuro will take place pursuant to Article 2112 of the Civil Code on different dates depending on the sales outlet:
    • October 31, 2017: Fano, Senigallia, Pesaro, Fabriano, Rimini, Porto d'Ascoli, Bologna, Mirandola, Castelmaggiore, Macerata, and Comacchio
    • November 21, 2017: Jesi, Fermo, Cento, Tolentino, Castelnaso, Citanova
    • December 20, 2017 Ascoli and Ancona

It is likely that the aforementioned stores will then remain closed for approximately 15 days to set up and change their signs.

It has been announced that approximately 70 people from Unieuro will be sent for approximately two months to provide in-store shadowing.
