The Fai Cisl expresses its condolences for the dramatic event that occurred on July 14th, which saw a young farm worker involved in a tragic workplace accident at the Salvi company, who lost her life.

In light of this latest tragedy, we reiterate the need for increased inspections by the relevant authorities in companies, but we must also focus on worker training, not just mandatory training, but ongoing training.

Both trade unions and employers' organizations are highly sensitive to this issue, which is also reflected in the activities carried out with the bilateral organization of which we are all members. However, we need to work on a culture of safety; therefore, in addition to worker training, we need to start discussing workplace safety in schools.

Training must be seen as an investment and not as a cost for companies and as a professional growth for workers, even those with great experience, because we must never let our guard down,

“AGRICULTURAL UNEMPLOYMENT”:

From January 1st to March 31st 2026, for agricultural workers, this is the mandatory period during which they can submit their Agricultural Unemployment application to INPS.

To avoid long waits, this year too, October we will start collecting the documentation, always with an appointment.

Unemployment benefit is available to agricultural workers who have paid at least 102 daily contributions in the two-year period 2024-2025 (this requirement can be met by combining it with contributions relating to non-agricultural dependent activity, provided that agricultural activity is predominant in the year or two-year period in question).

The benefit is due for a number of days equal to those worked in 2025, up to a maximum of 365 days, and must be submitted electronically by the deadlines indicated above.

By contacting our offices, you will be able to submit your unemployment application electronically and receive all the information on the documentation to submit.

Furthermore, in case of illness or injury, we will prepare the forms for the request for integration to the FAVLAF, we will give you information on the supplementary health funds (FISA, FILCOOP, FIS…) and check the INPS contribution statement.

Make your appointment to avoid unnecessary queues by calling 0532.773398 or 0532.777636, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 17:30, on Saturdays (in the months of January, February, March) from 9:30 to 12:00.

To build a model of society where legality is the foundation and integral part of every citizen's life, the only possible option is social participation, shared by Territorial Pacts for Legality and Development, but monitored daily by the "sentinels" of civil society.

And above all, the decisive answer: work that helps strengthen the immune defenses of legality. And it is education, "good education," that is the best way to deprive the culture of illegality. We are committed to creating opportunities for discussion like today's conference, in local communities, schools, and workplaces, through programs promoting legality. As the foundations for the country's reconstruction are being laid, we believe it is essential to relaunch a strong message aimed at awakening civic consciences, fostering a widespread ethical outlook, and fostering a new generation of women and men committed to defending the dignity of the individual and of work.

Dear all,
During our 7th National Congress, we presented the text of a motion we have called “Never Again Ghettos,” with which we aim to bring to the attention of the political, institutional, and social world the dramatic living and working conditions of thousands of immigrants, both legal and illegal, who live in ghettos in the countryside and urban suburbs.
These are men and women who live in these places in unacceptable, inhumane conditions, with no respect for human dignity or fundamental rights.
In recent weeks, we have been meeting with deputies and senators to submit the motion, hoping they will champion it by presenting it to the Chambers of Deputies and initiating its parliamentary process. This is a necessary step, which is attracting keen interest across political lines, to commit the Government to concrete initiatives aimed at ensuring dignity, security, and legality, constantly monitoring settlements across the country, and rethinking migration policies.

To support this initiative, we have also launched an online petition, gathering signatures on the change.org platform. We ask you to sign it and share it widely through all the communication channels you deem most appropriate. Signing the petition takes just a few seconds, and it helps us raise the profile of our Federation's civilized fight against marginalization and gangmastering.

“SOS CAPORALATO” CONTRO LO SFRUTTAMENTO DEL LAVORO AGROALIMENTARE

The “Sos Caporalato” campaign by Fai Cisl against exploitation in agri-food work was presented today in Rome.

"In addition to fighting, together with other organizations, in the appropriate institutional venues - explained the General Secretary of Fai Cisl, Onofrio Rota - we are starting this civil campaign with the aim of collecting, via toll-free number and social media, the complaints of those who work in conditions of exploitation and illegality in the agri-food sector. All the reports will be invaluable for obtaining a general monitoring of the evolution of the phenomenon and for giving a voice to many workers who are victims of gangmastering".

The toll-free number for the campaign, active from today, is 800.199.100. “That 199 is also very symbolic,” Rota said, “being the number of the law against gangmastering, and it also reiterates the campaign’s informative and divulgative meaning, given that the law is still little known by the people involved.”

The Deputy Secretary General of the CISL, Luigi Sbarra, defined the initiative as a “project of great subsidiary, political and symbolic importance”. “The battle of the Fai and the CISL – declared the trade unionist – continues for the full application of the participatory and preventive leg of law 199, won almost two years ago thanks to a great national mobilization of the agricultural work world. It is necessary to implement the social levers in the territories for a better management of the labor market, push for the rewards linked to the adhesion of companies to the Network of quality agricultural work, reconfirm the agreements on system projects. The guard of our union – concluded Sbarra in his speech – remains high on possible attempts to dismantle the good things done up to this point”.

Agitazione per il rinnovo del CCNL dei dipendenti dei Consorzi di Bonifica

Following the joint circular of Fai, Flai and Filbi of 10 June, the inter-regional strike initiatives are confirmed with the following structure:

June 28, 2016: Campania, Basilicata, Puglia and Calabria;

June 30, 2016: Liguria, Trentino Alto Adige, Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany;

July 5, 2016: Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo, Molise, Lazio, Sicily and Sardinia.

In this regard, we inform you that we have forwarded the relevant communications to the Guarantee Commission and to Snebi which, as required by the CCNL, will notify the Consortia involved.

In any case, It is necessary for you to send a further communication to the territorially competent Prefectures for each consortium and in this regard, we are sending the relative draft in Word format attached which you can complete with the necessary data.

Finally, we would like to inform you that following a further joint evaluation of the date of the national strike and following the checks carried out by the Guarantee Commission regarding the blocking of overtime, Fai Flai and Filbi have decided to postpone these initiatives.

Therefore, the following will be called (in accordance with the provisions of the CCNL): national strike for the day of Thursday, July 28, 2016 and the blocking of overtime from July 26th to August 3rd.

These initiatives will also be formalized to the Guarantee Commission and to the Snebi by the undersigned National Secretariats according to the methods set out in the contract.

Elezioni RSU Consorzio di Bonifica Pianura di Ferrara

Between 11 and 12 June 2015, elections for the RSU Consorzio di Bonifica Pianura di Ferrara were held.

The FAI Cisl Territorial list of Ferrara presented itself with 5 candidates which included the 2 outgoing RSU and 3 new candidates.

Today's voter count has highlighted a notable increase in consensus for FAI among all Consortium workers, increasing the number of elected RSU representatives from 2 to 4.

The new elected officials are:

Pambianchi Andrea (reconfirmed)

Beltrami Pierantonio (reconfirmed)

Farinella Gian Maria (first election)

Gnudi Paolo (first election)
