PARTICIPATION LAW APPROVED. TAGLIAVIA (CISL): “A GREAT RESULT, WHICH GIVES WORKERS FOCUS”

"We did it. The law on workers' participation in the active life of companies, a battle that has always characterized the activity of the CISL at all levels, has become state law. After 77 years, Article 46 of the Constitution is finally implemented thanks to a two-year mobilization. At a national level, our confederation has collected, in the most disparate places starting from companies and city squares, over 400 thousand signatures. We are extremely happy to have given our contribution and that Ferrara has done its part". This is what the secretary of the CISL of Ferrara, Giuseppe Tagliavia, said, echoing the words of the national secretary Daniela Fumarola a few days after the approval of the law strongly desired by his predecessor Luigi Sbarra. "This law - continues Tagliavia - represents a cultural as well as regulatory turning point. For the first time the legislator recognizes participation not as an abstract option, but as a concrete engine capable of relaunching wages, productivity, safety and well-being at work, legality and social justice. Collective bargaining is promoted as a fundamental lever for participatory agreements built from the bottom up, in the workplace, encouraged by economic incentives fueled by a Fund dedicated to participation endowed by Parliament with 71 million. An inclusive model, which does not exclude any company, and which strengthens cohesion, co-responsibility, training and dialogue: indispensable values for facing the challenges of the global economy and the productive transition". In a territory marked by major industrial crises like ours, "having a legislative reference like the one just approved - continues Secretary Tagliavia - represents a strong guarantee for workers, who are the most exposed to the storms of the market. Thanks to this law, in fact, they are given back the centrality they deserve in the wake of the hope formulated recently on the need to stipulate - with all the actors in the supply chain - a pact between the producers of wealth". Finally, a reassurance on the work that the Cisl will carry out at multiple levels. "The Cisl - he concludes - will continue to responsibly accompany the implementation of the law, ensuring that it becomes a real opportunity in every company. Because only together can we build a fairer, more participatory and more humane future of work."
